Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

"Now that I'm safe..." Lar said, grinning. "Any chance we can go for a flight?"

Josh looked up from his cuff with a grin of his own as he realized that he was finally going to get to fly with someone who'd be able to keep up with him. "Just let me put this away and finish eating."

"No problem," he replied. "Patience I've got plenty of."

Josh grinned and darted away.

"Would you like more to eat?" asked Jenny as she got to her feet.

"No, thank-you," Lar replied. "I had more than enough. When I'm under a yellow sun, I don't really get hungry."

"So not even any chocolate cake?" Her pale green eyes danced under the shadow of her strawberry blond curls.
