Brenda dug through the amazing amount of tissue paper that the tiny pink shopping bag held, then held aloft the lovely bra that she'd bought at the last shop they'd hit before stopping to eat. "Is it me, or are we just too big for most of what's available? I mean... I never realized that there were lady's sizes below zero before."

Her eyes flicked toward a floating paparazzi camera and then rolled as she folded the garment and put it away. "I know for a fact that I'm not fat."

She nodded and pinked slightly. "What do you like about him?"

She smiled. "Well, when he's not being a bit on the dense side, he's an incredibly smart man. And he's dedicated too, just as much in love with Gotham as I am, dedicated to see it safe."

A wistful sigh. "And there's just something about him. Something that just makes me feel better when he's around."

Brenda nearly squealed at the first bit that she said because of how it reminded her of Porthos, but then Helena's last words made her nod as her face softened.

"None of which makes it any easier to figure out how he'd take to knowing I've got a ...job on the side."

"Well," said Brenda softly. "Based on the fact that what you just said about him sounds just like my husband, I'd hazard the guess that he'll be supportive but wish with all his heart that he could get you out of such a dangerous profession."
