DK-Verse: Batcave?: On the Road Again (and Again)

Great.  One moment she was in the Nexus--having previously been in a Gotham more than three hundred years in her future--the next she's in the Batcave.  Only... it's definitely not her Batcave.  Some of the souvenirs were off, for one thing.  And, well, she just had a sense about this kind of thing.

Truth be told, the more she examined it, the greater the differences became.  No giant penny, no mechanical dinosaur, no old Robin and Catwoman costumes stored in glass cases, no Batmobile--at least not that she recognized...

She was definitely far from home.

The catwoman vented her fury again, narrowed green eyes fixed on her most hated foe, who had just cold-bloodedly murdered helpless people. It didn't matter to Pru that they had been criminals, it was her job to protect life.

The huge insectoid female made the dry rasping sound that was her laugh and dodged a second exploding mynock-star. "All meat is so over emotional. It flavors the meal, brings greater pleasure to the kill."

Pru snarled and circled, all her senses alert and aware despite her rage, her feet avoiding patches of blood and a severed head.

Pru hissed as she saw the buckle caught and tossed back with deadly force. -Master, protect her!-

The two projectiles connected, the explosion knocking the buckle off course so that it embedded itself in a wall a few feet from Huntress's head.

The insect woman laughed again and gave Pru a mocking look, then turned and strode toward the younger humanoid.

"No!" The redhead sprang, locking her legs around her foe's neck and twisting.

"I believe you're doing it wrong." One claw came up and grabbed her hair, yanking her down into the murderess's embrace. There was a flurry of blows and another explosion, then a sickening crack. The insect woman laughed and tossed aside Pru's limp form, her head turning toward Helena. "Meat is so emotional."
