Gargoyles' reality. Castle Wyvern. Wedding bells.
Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.
Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."
"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.
Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.
That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."
"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."
"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."
"Aye." The old one sighed.

Brooklyn just laughed at his younger twin. "Older and wiser, pal."
Nash just rolled his eyes. "Daaaaad, you're acting like a doofus!"
Claw canted his head to one side slightly and shrugged his broad shoulders.

"Older and lamer!" Young Brooklyn laughed and crushed out his cigarette, then hopped down and flipped it into a trash can as he walked over to get a closer look at the newcomers.
Ryan crooked the other Claw a grin.
And Broadway noticed something odd about the girl introduced as 'Guenevere' and frowned at her suspiciously.

Katana just shook her head at the antics of this variation of her mate. "I am thankful you outgrew this stage. Because otherwise, I would have to kill you."
"You're kidding, right?"
Her look in reply was one of perfect serenity. "You tell me."
Claw grinned in return.
And Guinevere looked like she wanted to hide, already feeling that this was a very bad idea.

"Love love." Chelsea snuggled against Angela and put her thumb in her mouth with a sigh.
"Dang, you are just like Maria." Brooklyn blinked at Katana.

Elisa and Goliath exchanged an uncomfortable look. "Guinevere is.." Goliath started, then tried again. "Who she is, is more a matter of who she is not yet."

"Tame?" Brooklyn looked sideways, but then nearly jumped out of his tux as slender claws dug into his ribs from behind. "AHHHHHHH!"
Chelsea startled and whimpered, her little hand clutching a handful of Angela's garment as she frowned.
no subject
"Uh, Kat, hon? I can hear you."
"You were intended to."
Angela gently stroked at Chelsea's hair and softly whispered reassurances.
"It becomes quite the concern," Guinevere says, speaking up at last, "when one might become one of the world's greatest monsters."
