Gargoyles' reality. Castle Wyvern. Wedding bells.
Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.
Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."
"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.
Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.
That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."
"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."
"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."
"Aye." The old one sighed.

"Mom." David Xanatos stepped through the door, looking sheepish as he held the end of an untied bow tie.
Diane sighed and wrapped her arms more firmly around Hope. "Does anyone else here know how to tie those things?"
"Anyone else...." He blinked and flushed slightly as he realized there were others as well as Diane in the courtyard. "Err. Welcome."

"Alright, you two, calm down." A second big black mutate came out, an excitedly wriggling twin in each arm. "Come on, I'm going to drop you, and then your mother will kill me."

Talon just stared at his twin in disbelief. "You told me," he whispered to Maggie. "And I still don't believe it."
no subject
"Er...." Talon stared back, babies half-forgotten as they squeaked and squirmed in their matching hat and diaper ensembles. "Hi."
no subject
Talon managed a nervous chuckle and a wave. "Hi yourself."
no subject
"Um...." Talon looked down at the twins, then back at his twin with a guilty expression. "Er... this is Hadassah, and this is Peter."

It took a moment--fine work was not as easy with talons, after all--but Elisa got the tie-tied. "There we go."

"Thank you." Xanatos ran a finger along under his collar, then cocked his head and looked at her as best that he could. "It's a good look for you. Elisa."
no subject
Elisa smiled. "Heh. Thanks."
no subject
"Yes, dear." He grinned sardonically and went.
Diane shook her head, then looked at her son. "Would someone mind grabbing a couple babies so that we can go and sit down?"
no subject
"Me too, if you need it," Derek added.
