Gargoyles' reality. Castle Wyvern. Wedding bells.
Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.
Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."
"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.
Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.
That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."
"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."
"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."
"Aye." The old one sighed.

"If anything," Delilah adds, "I should be the one who is sorry."

Guinevere tried a smile. "Wipe your face, then. And let us join the festivities."

The dancing had mostly petered out except for a few slow dancers. Most of the guests were sitting around in the plush chairs chatting and visiting. Icy, exhausted by all the new sights and sounds, was passed out on a couch with Hope snuggled in her arms. The two of them looked very tiny as they leaned against Hollywood's massive side.
David Xanatos had been arguing animatedly with Robbins, but he paused as Fox poked him and stood to announce the cutting of the cake.

Brooklyn and Kat, and likewise Broadway and Angela, were still dancing as well.
Hudson was laughing now, exchanging old memories with his counterpart.
And Guinevere was sitting with the clones, absently watching Claw tell a story (like all of the Clan, she'd gotten a crash course in sign language) and totally missing the interested glances Malibu occasionally shot her way.

Brooklyn, meanwhile, was gently dancing with Jane, who was sleeping contentedly with her little face hidden on his shoulder. The beaked gargoyle's was tender as he looked down at the tiny girl, and Maria kept glancing his way as she too watched the story, which had been slightly interrupted when Ryan had spouted off something funny and his dad had wrestled him down and offered to sit on him.
