Gargoyles' reality. Castle Wyvern. Wedding bells.
Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.
Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."
"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.
Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.
That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."
"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."
"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."
"Aye." The old one sighed.

"Yeah." Elisa nodded firmly.

Elisa chuckled. "After all... a girl, or 'goyle as the case may be, needs some secrets."

"Besides, you told me not to tell you anything that you'd need brain bleach for," added Elisa.

"Oh, c'mon. We weren't that bad," Elisa said. "Were we?"

The small blue girl blinked up at the massive clone, then turned her wide eyes toward Franklin before dropping her gaze to Hope and nodding sheepishly.
"Rub her back." Franklin mouthed the words at Hollywood. He'd do it himself, but she was turned the wrong way. And it really looked like she needed it.

"I assure you, I am more than capable of..." Goliath's words were halted, as Elisa pressed a finger to his lips.
"Trust me, Big Guy, you might not be."
Hollywood was good at following directions! So he did as he was told.

"Keep going," mouthed Franklin, his eyes widening with sympathy and dismay.
Goliath looked down at his Elisa, then shivered just slightly and glanced around for something else to look at. "...Now she's crying."

Elisa frowned. "Oh boy..."

"Nuh uh, babe." He shook his head and pulled her away. "Let 'em be. Those guys won't hurt her. And she looks like she needs that quiet stuff instead of womanly fussing, anyway."
Maria stared at him, then shook her head and obeyed.
Elisa was also frowning, feeling a little non-plussed on her twin's behalf and concerned for the little blue girl.

"Poor kid," Elisa muttered.

"We're trying our best... But some days, I don't know if we're really doing anything at all."
