Gargoyles' reality. Castle Wyvern. Wedding bells.
Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.
Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."
"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.
Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.
That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."
"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."
"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."
"Aye." The old one sighed.

Franklin watched with a frown of concern, noting Guenevere's uncertainty. He glanced at Hollywood, then sat on the arm of the couch and gently put a hand on the red-haired girl's back.
And Goliath could only blink and look at the alternate Elisa with surprise as he remembered all the times he'd been told by his own Elisa that he was bad for missing things.

Hollywood was a little uncertain as well. The way people acted in general tended to mystify him though.
Elisa hid a smile. Just because Goliath was dense sometimes didn't mean he wasn't empathic. When he did pick up on things, he felt them very deeply.

"Would you look at that," said Elisa softly. "The kid's a born leader."

Goliath just watched the young people soberly, feeling proud of his son.

Franklin was leaning down slightly, a smile on his face as he tipped his head sideways a little in attempt to be at the others' level despite sitting above them on the seat. They couldn't hear his words from where they stood, but Icy at the least was offering him a tremulous smile.
"I think he is telling his favorite funny story," rumbled Goliath. "The one that does not involve my hitting part of a wall."

Did that make her a bad person? That she might not have been so accepting?
She chuckled, though, when Goliath started talking. "I hear you do that a lot."
Guinevere too, she noted, was watching with interest.

Icy giggled. "Did he draw on you again?"
"Yup." Franklin beamed at the success of his story.
"Not as much, thankfully." Goliath caught the punchline and rumbled a chuckle as he remembered the incident.

"We gotta get together like this more often," Elisa said. "Seems to be doing everybody a world of good."
