Goliath looked out over the large room, his eyes resting on the gathering of the Manhattan clans and their friends and kin. Everyone was there but for their alternate brethren and Lex and Emily. The latter two were watching the event via closed-circuit television from Lex's hospital room, and the former... well, he hoped they were going to be here soon.

Behind him Hudson muttered and grumbled nervously, and he glanced over his shoulder. "Peace, old friend. All will be well."

"Sez the bloke that just hit the wall agin this verra mornin'," returned Hudson with uncharacteristic heat, then sighed and turned away to pace.

Goliath closed the door to the groom's room and walked over to pour the old gargoyle a drink of the wine that David had brought in earlier.

That worthy individual was contemplating the window, his hands folded behind his back. "Claw's new wife is a lovely woman."

"Aye." Hudson knocked back his drink and slumped into a chair. "Part 'o me's wishin' Lucy 'n I had just done as they did."

"No you're not," said Goliath calmly. "You decided on this for Lucy."

"Aye." The old one sighed.

"Frankly, these days I am more concerned that Nashville will follow in his father's footsteps. Though the end point was quite good... the road to it was rather rocky."

"Not everyone can be model youth." He snuck a quick glance at Elisa to make sure she was really asleep. "As we were."

"I think we are fortunate Hudson is not near enough to refute that statement."

"I think that they've both enjoyed their punch to the extent that they might very well agree." Goliath's eyes twinkled as singing drifted through the windows.

He laughed, careful to keep it quiet enough so as not to disturb the sleeping Elisa.

"Quite possibly."

"Lucy is probably enjoying herself greatly. She loves stories from those days." His laughter faded slightly as he remembered those days himself.

"Those were..." he trails off. "There was much happiness in those days. Things were so much simpler then. But I would not want them back."

"No. Nor would I. Only perhaps the brothers and sisters to share this day with us." Goliath sighed.

"Our rookery brother and sister, once called Coldstone and Coldfire, were restored to flesh during the same events which removed our Demona from the playing table. They chose the names Othello and Desdemona," Goliath says.

"There stay was short, and destiny has lead to them traveling with Arthur and Griff."

Goliath scowled and looked down as he found himself blinking away tears.

Goliath rested a comforting hand on his counterpart's shoulder. "I am sorry... I have said too much."

"No. I only now realized how changed we have all become; how few of us who are left are as we were. That sister and brother now beings of metal and wire, myself and Lexington human... so altered." Goliath's voice was a low rumble.

"It is the nature of life to change... though perhaps not so much as our two Clans have."
