alter-Mykey: the Richard Grayson building (caveside): Far From Home

She still wasn't home.  Dammit, she still wasn't home!

Another Cave of some kind... there was definitely a Robin costume over there, but also much more spartan than the ones she'd seen before.  Which meant sooner or later, she was going to run into more relatives.  Or near relatives.  Or something.

Frankly, Helena was homesick beyond words.

There were several moments of silence, and then a door slid open in another room, followed by the clicking sound of crutches and then the opening of the door to the main room where she stood. A tiny figure- under five foot- with lilac hair pulled into a French roll and clothes of soft pale purples crutched toward her and stopped to study her with large eyes of two different colours. Helena would notice that despite the size and the slender figure that this was a woman older than herself, one with sadness in her eyes and a large scar slashing diagonally across her left cheek.

"Um... I'm sorry," she said, apologetic. "I really didn't mean to come here. It just... kinda happened."

Those differently coloured eyes studied her closely as the hand gave hers a squeeze that was comforting despite its small size.

Lilac brows drew together. "Helena Wayne?"

"Sweet mercy," breathed Mykayla softly, her eyes widening. "Who's your mother?"

Then she put a hand over her mouth to stifle a chuckle as those sad eyes started to dance.

Mykayla sobered at the younger woman's expression.

"He's just met her and put her in prison for the first time," she explained softly.

"Whoa..." Helena just shook her head and for a moment, leaned against the wall for support.

"I'm sorry," she apologized. "It's just getting harder and harder, every time I go through and it's still not home."
