She still wasn't home.  Dammit, she still wasn't home!

Another Cave of some kind... there was definitely a Robin costume over there, but also much more spartan than the ones she'd seen before.  Which meant sooner or later, she was going to run into more relatives.  Or near relatives.  Or something.

Frankly, Helena was homesick beyond words.

He was young, but prematurely grey at the temples. His eyes were smiling but the mark of old pain could be seen in the back of them as he stepped into the room and stooped to greet his dog before looking toward Mykayla and starting slightly at sight of Helena.

She smiled nervously and offered a little wave. "Uh... hi?"

"Oh. Er... I hadn't realized that Mykey had company." He gave her a friendly, slightly daft grin. "Do you want me to make myself scarce?"

Mykayla looked to Helena to decide.

"No, it's fine. You can stay if you want."

"Come and sit." Mykayla pointed to the other end of her couch. "How was your day?"

"Boring." He sat down and put his arm on the couch arm. "Four hour meeting, and then I had to look like I knew something while Lucius gave a tour of one of the ... whichmacallit facilities."

She gave him a curious look. "What's with the vapid act?"

He blinked. "...What?"

She blinked as well. "I..." She frowned. "You just seemed... off, for a minute there."

Bruce Wayne certainly did not say "whatchamacallits."

He looked a little lost as he turned to face her more fully and studied her. "Have we met?"
