Gargoyles 'Verse: Hospital: One Lex, Two Lex, Garg Lex...

Hospitals were a strange place for Lexington.  He'd never actually been in one before, after all.  The hustle and bustle of people, people who were, for the most part, ignoring him (though one would occasionally do a double-take, as though they almost recognized him), was a strange and even somewhat heady experience.

Of course, what made it truly strange was that he was here to see himself.  A self that was human, had been fully accepted to the human world, even had a girlfriend.  He still lived a life in the shadows, and though there were three unattached females now a part of the Clan, he had yet to forge a relationship of any significance with any of them.  Guinevere seemed torn between staying loyal to the Goliath she had left behind and (and he had only heard this by accident, when she had thought she was alone, talking to herself) forming a relationship with Franklin from this universe.  The other two were simply too new to him to be anything more than a casual friend.

But here he was, off to see this reality's version of himself, in the company of Franklin.

"Yeah...." He cleared his throat, then wriggled slightly and thanked Emily as she unwrapped his cocoon.

"Too weird," Lex said, examining his counterpart. It had been one thing to see him via video screen, but here in person...

Lex looked back as he pressed the button to lift the head of his bed. "Wow... I'm taller. I didn't realize that."

Emily facepalmed.

Lex laughed at that, but tried to stand up just a little straighter. "Show-off," he teased.

Lex chuckled... he couldn't really laugh yet. "Sorry. So, 'sup?"

"Eh, little of this, little of that. Clan keeps growing in fits and spurts."

"Oh? There's more than Hope?"

"Yeah. There's Guinevere and Icy and Chiyoko, now."

"More kids?" He pulled his blankets around him again and snuggled down.

"My age," he said. "Guin and Icy were at the wedding... but I don't know if you saw them. Chiyoko showed up just a few days ago."

"I don't really remember the wedding footage." Lex sighed. "I was a little stoned on meds."

Then he chuckled. "So three girls and one you, huh?"

Lex blushed at the accusation. "Well, only two, really..."

He leaned in close to his counterpart. "I think Guin's pretty sweet on Franklin."
