Gargoyles 'Verse: Hospital: One Lex, Two Lex, Garg Lex...

Hospitals were a strange place for Lexington.  He'd never actually been in one before, after all.  The hustle and bustle of people, people who were, for the most part, ignoring him (though one would occasionally do a double-take, as though they almost recognized him), was a strange and even somewhat heady experience.

Of course, what made it truly strange was that he was here to see himself.  A self that was human, had been fully accepted to the human world, even had a girlfriend.  He still lived a life in the shadows, and though there were three unattached females now a part of the Clan, he had yet to forge a relationship of any significance with any of them.  Guinevere seemed torn between staying loyal to the Goliath she had left behind and (and he had only heard this by accident, when she had thought she was alone, talking to herself) forming a relationship with Franklin from this universe.  The other two were simply too new to him to be anything more than a casual friend.

But here he was, off to see this reality's version of himself, in the company of Franklin.

Lex made a face, then laughed. "Oh, maaaan. Reminds me... Back when Elisa first moved into the clock tower, she spent one heck of a lot of time yelling at me and Brooklyn and Broadway. Always with the 'you guys have no idea how to live with a woman' stuff."

Lex snerked, then cheered under his breath as he made it over the finish line. "I remember that."

"She's been yelling that at Father and I since Dr. Lucy put her on bed rest." Franklin sighed.

Lex muttered as he came in second, but nodded slightly at what Franklin said.

"Yeah. Can't see Elisa dealing with that too well. Any version of her."

"My little brother will come soon, and then she'll feel better," rumbled the big gargoyle, then looked with concern at his brother. "You should sleep more."

"Ugh." Lex rubbed his eyes, then handed him the controller. "Here, kick his tail."

"Too weird," Lex mused. "I mean, good weird, but still weird. That kid's gonna be a human kid of Goliath and Elisa, and we've got a Gargoyle kid of them. What's that make those kids? Cousins? Brother and sister?"

"Alternate twins," said Emily, watching the next level start as she rubbed her Lex's side. "Yeah, brother and sister."

Lex got lucky and his car was first out of the starting gate.

"They thought of a name yet?"
