Transformers-'Verse. Nellis AFB. Early in the morning, I wake to the boom.....

((Morning after the Ratchet fixing.))

It's dark and still in Ratchet and Endeavour's room. All is calm, all is quiet....

Till something blows up massively in the front courtyard.

Ratchet goes from soundly offline to sitting up and ready to roar at Ironhide, only to stop short as he remembers that such vocal exertions might startle a certain unborn spark and cause her mother discomfort. Instead he listens to Jazz scolding and looks down at his sparkmate to see how she reacted to the explosion.

He leans up for a kiss, then swiftly sets up a gerry rigged portable table, to which he moves the new body. "Alright, get up on the table."

She grins slightly and does what he asks, laying flat on her back on the table, trying very hard to fight the vague anxiousness that comes out of nowhere.

Reaching for his hand, she whispers, "Hey."

He turns toward her instantly, taking the hand and squeezing it gently. "What's wrong?"

She's smiling, her feelings plain on her face.

"Nothing. Just... thank you."

"For what?" he asks softly, his optics shining.

"Gee, let me think..." Her voice is sarcastic, but she's still grinning. "Everything?"

She put her other hand over the back of his. "This is going to be awesome."
