Transformers-'Verse. Nellis AFB. Early in the morning, I wake to the boom.....

((Morning after the Ratchet fixing.))

It's dark and still in Ratchet and Endeavour's room. All is calm, all is quiet....

Till something blows up massively in the front courtyard.

Ratchet goes from soundly offline to sitting up and ready to roar at Ironhide, only to stop short as he remembers that such vocal exertions might startle a certain unborn spark and cause her mother discomfort. Instead he listens to Jazz scolding and looks down at his sparkmate to see how she reacted to the explosion.

Jeimu herself is utterly quiet as she approaches the table. If Ratchet was paying attention he'd notice that she seems frightened.

"Wow," she says, over and over again. "Wow."

It's disconcerting for Jeimu to see her proud ship completely offline, on her back, her hand laying over her now-closed spark compartment.

But then she hears a clicking noise, and her head snaps around to look at where the protoform is finally coming to life.

A smile splits her face.

She's beginning to take shape right there on the table, and her face looks like her mother's: blue-white optics that flare for a split-second before shuttering, surrounded by lines that are fluid-like and graceful; that same mouth that can almost literally smile. She looks unique, but one can see Endeavour in her face.

The rest of her, though, should be very familiar to Ratchet; the lines and shape of her body echo his own.

And she just lays there for a moment, final components clicking into place, programs and operating systems finally coming online. She now possesses five senses to go along with the self-awareness that has always been there.

Perhaps this was her mother's legacy, but even brand new, she knew who she was.
