Transformers-'Verse. Nellis AFB. Early in the morning, I wake to the boom.....

((Morning after the Ratchet fixing.))

It's dark and still in Ratchet and Endeavour's room. All is calm, all is quiet....

Till something blows up massively in the front courtyard.

Ratchet goes from soundly offline to sitting up and ready to roar at Ironhide, only to stop short as he remembers that such vocal exertions might startle a certain unborn spark and cause her mother discomfort. Instead he listens to Jazz scolding and looks down at his sparkmate to see how she reacted to the explosion.

Columbia jumps a few more times, then realizes that her mother is awake.

Endeavour is then dive-tackled back onto the bed, and they both laugh.

Ratchet chuckles too. "Good morning, how are you feeling?"

"Fine," Endeavour says with a grin, kissing the top of Columbia's forehead. "How about you?"

Columbia doesn't answer; she lets go of her mother and pitches forward to inspect the underside of the bunk.

"Great." He leans forward and looks himself. "There aren't any spiders under there again?"

He knows there aren't, he's taken to looking automatically since the first time Endeavour had found an inhabited web under there.

Columbia lifts her head, then shakes it. "There's nothing under there."

"What? Where did my...." He shakes his head and grumbles against Honey in Cybertronian, then chuckles. "You're right."

Columbia tilts her head. "Should there be something under there?"

[random_xtras]

"I had left something under the bunk. But sometimes Honey likes to move things." He shrugs and reaches touch her. "Are you hungry?"

A glance toward Endeavour includes her in the question.

Columbia nods, smiling, and Endeavour says "I could go for a drink, yeah."

He pushes his chair back and stands, offering his sparkmate a hand up.

She grins and takes his hand, using him to get to her feet. "How long did I sleep for?" she asks.

It feels like it's been a long time.
