Transformers-'Verse. Nellis AFB. Early in the morning, I wake to the boom.....

((Morning after the Ratchet fixing.))

It's dark and still in Ratchet and Endeavour's room. All is calm, all is quiet....

Till something blows up massively in the front courtyard.

Ratchet goes from soundly offline to sitting up and ready to roar at Ironhide, only to stop short as he remembers that such vocal exertions might startle a certain unborn spark and cause her mother discomfort. Instead he listens to Jazz scolding and looks down at his sparkmate to see how she reacted to the explosion.

Endeavour takes the cube and watches her daughter learn, realizing that it really wasn't all that long ago that she herself was almost forty feet tall, sitting down in this very workshop and hooking up lines to her feet in order to drink.

"It's definitely not a problem," she says, smiling to her daughter. "Mine used to be in my feet."

"Why did you move it?" Columbia's optics are wide, and she looks slightly shocked.

"My engines use open flame. The intakes were a little too close for comfort."

"Ohhhh," Columbia nods, understanding. "Explosions are no fun."

"No," says Ratchet in a low voice. "That they're not. How does that taste?"

"It's good," Columbia nods, grinning.

It's her mother's grin.

He chuckles and kisses her on the forehead. "Good. Let me know if that's enough."

Then his eyes go to Endeavour, checking on her as well.

Endeavour smiles over at him. "What's up?"

//Have I told you you're beautiful?//

She arches a brow plate in his direction as she finishes her energon.

//You may have told me something to that effect once or twice.//

//Are you tired of it yet?// His optics twinkle.

She laughs.

//No.//

[random_xtras]

//Good.// He glances down to be sure Columbia's doing alright, then lifts his optics to Endeavour again. //Because you haven't finished hearing it yet.//

She laughs some more and puts her arms around him. //I'm glad.//

Endeavour watches Columbia empty out the can, then abandon it to come running and join in the hug.

Ratchet puts a hand on the sparkling's back and holds she and her mother close. "I love both of you more than words can say."

Columbia grins. "I love you too," she says, looking at each of her parents in turn.

Endeavour just smiles, choosing not to say anything because... well, we all know how eloquent she isn't.
