((Morning after the Ratchet fixing.))

It's dark and still in Ratchet and Endeavour's room. All is calm, all is quiet....

Till something blows up massively in the front courtyard.

Ratchet goes from soundly offline to sitting up and ready to roar at Ironhide, only to stop short as he remembers that such vocal exertions might startle a certain unborn spark and cause her mother discomfort. Instead he listens to Jazz scolding and looks down at his sparkmate to see how she reacted to the explosion.

Endeavour watches him go and frowns. "Well. That was... interesting. So. Now that it's just the two of us, shall we clean this mess up properly?"

She drapes an arm around Ratchet's shoulders and snuggles in close for a moment.

His arm goes around her waist again as he stretches up to give her a peck. "Yes. I'm starting to look forward to the new base. No one had better change their minds about that floor for us."

"Agreed," she says with a laugh, letting him go to return to the less-messy-but-still-rather-unorganized piles of stuff in the back.

"We might want to put in a requisition for some sea shipping containers or something. Those would make wonderful storage bins."

"They would. And they'd make it easy to move all this." He hunkers down and starts sorting boxes of neural wire.

She piles the coils of wire she'd been winding up into a neat pyramid shape beside her, but works in silence, her scanners keeping a firm fix on Columbia, who is outside playing with her newly-discovered cousins.
