Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Smells like Christmas.

It has been a busy night at Castle Wyvern. Much discussing has happened in the dining room, and no one really noticed the quiet little busyness that passed to and fro during the meeting, asking about words on the cookbook pages that she held.

But now the meeting has broken up, patrols have set out, the television jabbers comfortably.

And the kitchen smells really good.

"Sure! Always room for cake!"

"I have other things too." She finishes decorating the cake and looks around at the pie and the piles of cookies. Over on the counter a small chicken is pretending to be a Christmas turkey with all the trimmings, and there's a pumpkin sitting partially sliced next to the recipe page for pumpkin pie.

"Wow! You have been busy!"

She glances toward the pumpkin with a sigh. "Broadway went away before I could ask him about the words for that pie. And he's the one that knows what they mean the best. Hudson wasn't sure, and Kat tells me 'shhh'."

"Aw, I'm sure you did a great job."

"Do you think...." She hesitates and looks down at the cake. "Can you help me make the last pie?"

"I guess I can try," Lex says. "I'm not real good in the kitchen."

"You're good at reading. And you know what the words mean?" Her big eyes look at him hopefully.

Lex smiles. "All right. I bet we can lick this together."
