Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Smells like Christmas.

It has been a busy night at Castle Wyvern. Much discussing has happened in the dining room, and no one really noticed the quiet little busyness that passed to and fro during the meeting, asking about words on the cookbook pages that she held.

But now the meeting has broken up, patrols have set out, the television jabbers comfortably.

And the kitchen smells really good.

Icy nods, but is too mortified at what she sees as a faux pas to look up.

Lex looks down at his own food, uncertain of what to do here.

She eats in silence for a moment, but then glances at him and hesitantly moves one hand toward him in a silent plea for reassurance.

Not sure of what else to do, Lex takes the hand in his own.

They sit like that for a bit, Icy continuing with her meal and gradually relaxing. She's reaching for the bowl of carrots when the oven timer goes off.

See Icy nearly jump out of her skin and wind up on the floor.

Lex jumps too, though not nearly as much. He peers down. "You okay?"

She looks around with a wide-eyed expression, then sits up and hides her face in her hands. For a moment it seems like she's crying, but then the giggles get away from her.

"Everything but my pride," she manages to say.

Lex jumps down and offers her a hand up. "That's all right, then."

She lets him pull her up, then impulsively ignores the timer's shrill to put her arms around him in a hug.

Surprised Lex is surprised! But he's also got enough brains to return the hug.

The timer stops, and Icy grumbles and reluctantly lets him go to rescue her pies.
