She looks up at her husband the moment her feet hit the ground. The air is slightly cool; dusk has fallen and there's the distinct aroma of salt on the air. Typical seaside night.

"So," she says quietly, "what exactly did you say to him?"

"Alright." Jav tries to kiss the grin.

She wasn't expecting it, so she gasps slightly, but then yields, kissing him in return.

"You know I love you, right?"

"I knows." He leans back to beam at her as if it's due to how great he is, his eyes dancing with mischief.

She grabs him by the collar and slaps him lightly on the cheek. "Don't go getting an attitude," she whispers.

"Ye likes my attitude." He tries to sneak another kiss.

She points her finger in his face. "And you like it when I take charge."

He just gives her his best million dollar heartbreaker grin.

"Don't do that," she complains, inching closer to him as though on reflex.

"But ye likes it when I do that." The grin widens, and then he pulls her close and nuzzles her hair.

"Yes," she says with a sigh, "and that's the problem."
