She looks up at her husband the moment her feet hit the ground. The air is slightly cool; dusk has fallen and there's the distinct aroma of salt on the air. Typical seaside night.

"So," she says quietly, "what exactly did you say to him?"

He looks at her quizzically.

"Asuka." Jeimu points to the dog. "Dev is way too much of a spaz to have organized something like that."

Loud, bassy strains of The Black-Eyed Peas' "Shut Up" are now coming from the side of the house.

It also sounds like coconut halves are being clacked together.

"You'd be surprised," he says with quiet affection, then stands to see if he can see over the house and discover what's going on there.

Dev's brow plates are slanted in concentration, and she's assumed a relaxed semi-sitting position in the space between the palm and the wall of the house.

Pinched between each of her index fingers and thumbs is a coconut half, and she's tapping them against each other along to the rhythm of whatever Eurodance song she's managed to find on the internet (in this case, it's Scooter's latest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj55PJhinCc)).

This is another one of those times when Dev has combined music, local plants, and popular culture into an activity that resembles either extreme immaturity or a trip into one too many powerlines.

Mun says: goodness I love my shuttleformer.

"...But then, so am I," he says to himself, trying to figure out exactly what his sparkmate is doing.

The music stops, as does the clacking, and Endeavour looks up to see both Ratchet and Jeimu (how did she get all the way here from the porch so fast?) looking at her strangely.

"Goodness," she says. "I'm just trying to occupy myself while you two sort out your issues a la Dr. Phil."

Ratchet walks over and looks down at Jeimu. "Dr. Phil?"
