Starforge looks up from where he's building a bunk in one of the spare rooms of what will be he and Arcee's new quarters. "Hunter! Knock it off. Now."

Sunhunter frowned.

"We don't mean to," he said.

"I know." Starforge's deep voice is gruff.

"Maybe if you were braver?" the sparkling suggested.

"Wouldn' help." He heads for the recycler.

"Cause you always just will?"

Starforge considers as he steps into the elevator and turns to face the door. "Pretty much."

Sunhunter anxiously got in after him, then punched his shoulder lightly in the men's version of a hug.

"We won't do nuthin' real bad," he promised.

"Jes' remember what I toldja 'bout yer brother. 'N 'bout Autobots 'n fightin'." Starforge grins down at him.

"I will, dad," Sunhunter grinned at him, then went silent for a moment.

When he looked up it was clear he was tring to be cautious and tactful.

"When can I get my alt mode?"

"We'll see." His dad walks out of the elevator as it stops and heads for the recycler.

"But everybody else has got them, and what if we need them? And we've tried to be good. We were looking at cars, and there's this awesome 2008 series," he said anxiously, following him out.
