Starforge looks up from where he's building a bunk in one of the spare rooms of what will be he and Arcee's new quarters. "Hunter! Knock it off. Now."

Ironhide, intent on not wrecking the couch, doesn't notice. But Starforge does and puts a hand on Sunhunter's shoulder. "Hunter?"

"Ugh," he said, shaking his father's hand off and walking out, scowling.

Startracker's grin fell, and he frowned, taking his mouse off his shoulder and holding him close.

This time Ironhide senses the tension and looks up. "What is it?"

Starforge, frowning after Sunhunter, is just trying to figure that out yet.

Startracker looked down.

"He's mad 'cause he's the better fighter," he said, almost mutely.

Ironhide returns his attention to his work. "Being a good fighter means nothing if you have no self control or respect for others."

"Now that's bein' a lil' hard, Dad." Starforge goes after Sunhunter.

"He just wants to make you happy," Startracker said softly.

Sunhunter, meanwhile, had gone upstairs and outside, looking for someplace to hide and brood about his disappointment.

Ironhide sighs. "I told you that I was a bad example. Should I go and talk to him?"

Startracker shrugged. Maybe it would help, but it would mean their time would come to an end. He struggled internally for a moment, then looked down. "Maybe," he said.

Ironhide gives the sparkling a rough but gentle cuff on the shoulder, and then coms Starforge and joins him in looking at Sunhunter's hiding place for a moment before both older mechs exchange an uncomfortable glance and step forward.

"Hunter?" calls Starforge.

Sunhunter curled up tighter in his cave, then scowled slightly.

"Dad...." Starforge surprises himself by giving his creator a warning look.

The boy's response was to slam the scrap wood make-shift door shut and start trying to dig it in deeper.
