Starforge looks up from where he's building a bunk in one of the spare rooms of what will be he and Arcee's new quarters. "Hunter! Knock it off. Now."

Starforge has a moment of what he hopes is inspiration. "Ya think whatcher always sayin' maybe makes Tracker feel like yer feelin' now? Does yer sayin' those things mean ya don't love 'im?"

There was silence for a moment, then a resentful mutter that could or could not be annoyed agreement.

The mouse went still for a moment, then ambled over and slipped into the fort, falling with a soft clang into Sunhunter's lap.

Hunter blinked in surprised and picked it up, then frowned slightly and tilted his head to one side.

"You're supposed to be with Tracker," he said. The mouse shook it's head, then went offline, it's connection snapped. Hunter frowned, then turned it over, looking for any signs of damage.

"Sunhunter?" Ironhide strides forward and reaches for the door, concerned by the little toy's actions.

//Your stupid toy's broken,// Sunhunter grumbled.

//He's not. You gotta link him n' turn him on,// came the meek reply. Hunter blinked, then frowned and patched into the toy. Almost at once it snuggled him fondly, and he realized why Tracker built it. He hugged it carefully, then looked up sadly at the older mech.

"Tracker's a better brother than me, huh?" he said softly, eyes on the toy.

"That's not what I said," rumbles Ironhide, also looking at the mouse.

"But it's true. I'm a crummy brother and a crummy soldier," he hid his face, the mouse darting to his shoulder and nuzzling the side of his head.

"You're a sparkling."

"I'm supposed to know better. I've been trying. I just... I don't get it," he sniffed.

Ever suspicious despite being presently banished to the courtyard for it, Ironhide has to scan Sunhunter to be sure that the boy's not just saying this to try and sway his sympathies even as he puts a hand out to touch him.

The boy was very sincere, and drew away from the hand, curling against the back of the fort.

"Does it distress you so that I actually like your brother?" The old mech hunkers down to look at him, knowing that he'll never fit through the door.

"N...no," the boy frowned deeply. "But... he's not...."
