"Why not? It'll be using him like he was created. He'll like it, it's how he thought he was gonna get your favor anyway," he smiled.

"Neither of you are to have anything to do with war," says the old mech sternly. "Is that understood?"

"But it's not war if we don't have enemies," he grinned. "It's just fighting know-how and stuff. You know, being prepared."

Ironhide throws his hands up and turns away, thanking Primus for the patience of the Transformers who'd cared for him after he was sparked. If he'd been anything like Sunhunter they would have needed a lot of it.

Ironhide counts down rapidly from a thousand, then turns back. "Let's go stick some of those stars on the walls and ceiling of the rooms you and Startracker will recharge in."

Sunhunter opened his mouth to insist on being answered, but then blinked and frowned.

"Ok, grandpa," he said.

Maybe this was the survival instinct his mom told him about.
