Iceberg's expression doesn't shift, perceptibly or not. Damn. So, do I complain about her looking at my skidplate now...?

"And what makes you think it's still connected?" he asks, folding his arms.

Frowning, confused, and slightly upset rookie is go. Blackout watches the exchange with interest, absently helping herself to another cube of energon as she does.

Iceberg sighs. "Trust me on this, kid, it's not worth your while keeping functional."

Frowny frown. "Yes, sir."

"Right." He nods, not terribly worried by her unwillingness. If she's that bothered by it, he figures, she'll find a way out of it eventually. After she's had time to think about it.

In the meantime, he holds up the disks he's compiled. "You should have these, too."

"What's that?" asks Blackout, absently offering Scorponok a sip from her energon cube.

"Language data, some of our basic survival training." ...The bare bones he knows of Minicon history, a couple of nasty tricks to pull on a Bulk in the event you want away from them, fast...

She looks at them, then nods, feeling that she can correct anything necessary later.

Iceberg hands the disks over, knowing he'd have slipped them to the kid even if Blackout had ripped the ground and sky apart to stop him. He's just programmed that way.

Hormah takes them and examines them, then reads them like a book, her beeps taking on more meaning as she talks to herself in Minicon.

"Don't damage your processor," says Blackout sternly, then lowers her head and puts her free hand to her chest as pain radiates out from her spark.

Iceberg's half-listening to the kid as he sidles up to Blackout. "You all right?" he mutters, aware that his systems are killing him.

She's frowning, her face twisting slightly as she answers in a low voice, "I was damaged before I came... I have to get back."

Hormah stops reading and looks up, frowning with concern.

Scorponok hisses at Blackout's pain and scuttles onto his partner's shoulder.

Iceberg nods. "You fancy a PINpoint lift, or can you get there on your own?"

Well, he's not even going to contemplate playing designated walker here.

"I can make it." She brings out her own PINpoint, and looks to make sure Hormah hasn't left any of her data chips laying around. "Do you want those disks back?"

"If the kid's done with them," he says with a nod. No sense in leaving them around for Blackout to inspect.

Hormah beeps and hurriedly downloads everything else from them, then reluctantly gives them back before standing and looking at Blackout quizzically.

"You'll need to step away," the big black femme says, looking down at Iceberg. Mega-Octane would NOT appreciate her bringing too many new people back to the Megastar.

"Gotcha." He moves back, tucking the disks away and nodding at Hormah. "So, uh, good luck, the pair of you."

Blackout heaves herself slowly to her feet, her shell making several drastic sounding creaks and groans, then nods down at him and PINpoints away as Hormah beeps and waves.
