Threnody is unaware of the symphony of bird song occurring over her head and all around her. She's paying no mind to the local rodent population, though there's a squirrel sitting on her foot right at this moment. She has no attention to spare for the bright forms of the flowers that are scattered throughout the undergrowth and the grass of the little forest glade she's found. Most of her attention is focused on the tiny construction of paper and various colouring chemicals that she holds between her fingertips.

Cyclonus would be non-plussed, and Scourge would be quietly and uncomprehendingly supportive if they found her now, but she's used to those reactions when her friends find her with a book.

"That's it." She growls, then gives him a measuring look. "Did Starscream get you in your reality? That slag with Unicron?"

"Starscream is dead," Scourge replies, shaking his head meekly. "Unicron as well." He doesn't mention what else happened, not yet. He doesn't trust anything in this reality.

"Did she possess you?"

"Did--oh!" A flash of understanding goes across Scourge's face. Different realities have different conventions. All the Decepticons here must go by 'she' for some strange reason.

"No, he didn't. He just died."

As nervous as he is, if he's never had someone ride shotgun it would probably damage his processor and make him useless to her. She curses again.

"I have to see what Cyclonus thinks he's doing!"

He said Starscream. Said nothing about any other ghosts...

"It might not be his fault. The Cyclonus I know is loyal to Galvatron's memory, utterly. Maybe he has some reason for keeping this creature in the dark."

"His loyalty isn't in question," she says impatiently. "I can still feel that. How loyal are you?"

Her look now is very measuring, even challenging. She wants him to do something, but she knows that he owes her nothing. And right now, lacking even a solid touch, about all she can do is curse and bluster.

Scourge has to take a moment for nervous shuddering to answer that question. Alternate universes play merry havoc with relationships.

"I am...loyal to Galvatron," he says quietly. In a far less sure tone he continues, "You are not him."

"I am Galvatron!" Her optics glint, but with a struggle she gets her temper in check though it's still clearly evident.

"It will be no disloyalty to your own Galvatron to assist me."

And that right there alerts Scourge to the possibility that he is being used. Galvatron practically gets off on blasting people who slur him.

"What do you need me for? I'm not a soldier. I move boxes. I can barely hold a gun."
