There's a flash and an explosion over the Nexus... and very few people look up other than to ascertain that whatever just went boom isn't coming down on their heads. It's not, so they go about their business as though nothing has happened.

Whatever it is streaks toward the park and leaves a smoking crater as it hits.

And a soft, wordless alarm call sounds in a certain priestess's spark.

He chokes and hides his face, holding onto her as to a lifeline as he finally manages to respond to her touch and calm enough to hear and feel what she and Primus are saying. Still, it takes awhile for him to calm, and when he does he's exhausted again, his feelings a heavy counterpoint to the joy of the little Chiproach. But even with the fear and discomfort Auspex will be able to feel affection aimed toward her from both new charges.

*she moves to pat his cheek, with gentle care* There's no need to be afraid; memories are insubstantial echos. Your mind will grow strong enough to learn to brush them away, with minimal pain. Until then, I will help you, if I can.

You still need to rest, if not more than before. If I stay here and watch over you while you recharge, will that ease your mind? You'll not get enough downtime, if your fears will plague your mind every time you try.

He lifts his head to look at her as she pats his cheek, his optics focused on hers as he listens to what she says.

Then they flick toward the little Chiproach as he thinks he hears his name before going back to Auspex.

"Yes." He nods hesitantly, trusting and yet fearful.

[primus_seeress]

*she smiles slightly at the chiproach* I think she'll watch over you, too.

*Auspex shifts slightly, for more comfortable long-term sitting. She hands Bob the corner of the carpet she'd peeled back* I will be right here; try to get some rest. *she pats his hand*

He settles back on the berth, his hand closed around the edge of the carpet as he looks at the little insectoid femme, his optics blinking wearily. At the pat he cycles air in a quiet sigh, and then moves so that he's snuggled against Auspex. "Alright."

Tired affection and gratefulness directed at both she and Primus touches her, and then he's asleep.

[primus_seeress]

*Auspex nods silently in approval, reaching to absently scritch the chiproach, murmuring softly* I seriously question this method Starscream is using to clone himself, and the ill-effects on the clones' personalities...

*she looks back down at Bob, with a little concerned frown* He doesn't deserve this.

The Chiproach's cheery babble stills momentarily as Primus replies to Auspex with comfort and reassurance, then chirps a gleeful greeting and settles down to tell everyone present a very interesting story. The soft sound sooths the weary mech on the berth and combines with Auspex's presence to bring him the rest that he needs, and the rest of his recharge cycle is uneventful.
