Wheeljack did not like this. He did not like this one bit. If he had his way, he would not be following these two Decepticons to Primus only knows where for Primus only knows what reason. Acorna, on the other hand, insisted, and when the Linyaari woman insists...

Well, she was both stubborn and persuasive, not to mention used to getting her way.

He only hoped that he could get her out of danger in time if this were to go sour.

"All our lives, b'y. We was sparked here." Hormah pauses to contemplate the pile of supplies that she'd brought for the two travelers. "Who's fer carryin' t'is?"

Wheeljack sighs. "I'll take it." He picks up the supplies easily and subspaces them.

There's a moments silence as she contemplates this, and then sighs. "Still wishin' I wound up w' t'at. Slaggin' handy t'ing."

"You didn't?" Requiem pauses in gently poking at Scarecrow to blink at her.

"Ye t'inks I was makin' ye carry it all jes' t' be mean... don't @#%$@#$@ answer t'at." She deedlebeeps at him, and then turns and starts walking homeward. It would be quicker and easier if they flew, but she didn't want to push the Autobot. Her strides are quick, and they soon leave the populated part of the Nexus behind.

After walking in relative silence for a few moments, Acorna asks, "Who exactly are you taking us to see?"

"Blackout," says the little femme quietly, her optics on the trail.

"And who's Blackout?" Wheeljack asks warily.

"She's fer bein' our boss, me son." She kicks a rock aside, then chuckles just a bit as Scarecrow kicks it back to her.

"She's our creator," rumbles Requiem softly, his optics on the sky.

"Your creator? Do you mean mother?"

He shakes his head and glances down at her seriously. "Decepticons don't have mothers. We aren't organic."

And Wheeljack moves his shoulder slightly to scootch Acorna a little bit away from Requiem.

The young mech notices and returns his gaze to the sky, his pride stung. He's never hurt a sentient organic being in his life. Hormah had early lain down the law about such.

"We don't hurt organics, b'y," says his sister, pausing to flip the bird at a pair of cammo painted Autobot mechs who are standing atop a red rock hoodoo at the beginning of the canyons. The young bots gesture in kind, and then wink out.

"I know you don't. Wheeljack's just being overly cautious," Acorna says soothingly. At the same time, she's projecting to 'Jack that he had better back off and relax if he knew what was good for him.

"Ye knows?" Those bright optics turn toward her quizzically as Requiem races forward and launches himself to flip into Osprey mode and fly off with a thunder of rotors and engines.

Acorna nods. "My people are both empathic and telepathic, and I'm a strong reader and sender."
