Void-verse. Where Scourge is. Looking for a hand.

Ratchet looks around as he appears in the new reality, feeling the mech that he's searching for, but not seeing him yet. The free spark's usually cheerful face shows deep concern today. He knows this is a long shot gamble, but he can't shake the hunch that Scourge might be able to help him.

He tilts his head and listens. Where is Scourge?

Cyclonus enters, his head held high with the dignity that befits a leader of the Decepticons. But his calm, cruel facade is momentarily shattered as he flicks a glance towards Scourge--are you all right, yes, good, he's all right, stay there and let me handle this.

"You are Ratchet?" he asks, folding his arms across his chest. "What do you want with my wingmate?"

The free spark's smiling, glad to see the guy, though he sobers as he replies. "That's me. I need Scourge to help me find someone. She's confused and scared... and dead. But she doesn't pose any threat."

"And your authorization?" Scourge seems to fade into the background when Cyclonus is in the room. His wingmate will handle it. "Your proof? We have nothing to go on but your word that Scourge is needed."

"What proof do you want?" Ratchet sets the crate on the hover sled and turns to get another.

"You claim to be from Primus." Cyclonus gestures to his wingmate. "Scourge and Primus seem to be on good terms. Can you prove that he backs your endeavor?"

"I can." The next crate is lifted. "What do you want me to do?"

"You're the messenger," Cyclonus replies with a slight glare.

He doesn't like Primus, never has. There's always this lingering feeling that Auspex and her pet god saved Scourge where Cyclonus himself had failed him.

"You know you didn't fail him." The ghost responds absently to a poke from his boss. "If you had failed him the two of you wouldn't be here now. And Scourge might be like this Starscream I've been trying to track down."

Scourge flinches, and Cyclonus' expression turns into a scowl. "Starscream? Starscream, the traitor to our leader? Why should we help him?"

"No. Starscream, the patriot who took a shot meant for her leader, and without whom the truce of that reality might fail. Because Megatron's gotten it into his head that he has to get her back and nothing that even his other half can say is changing his mind. And Starscream, co leader of the Decepticons, whose mate is quietly losing his mind even as he tries to keep the army in control."

The Decepticon leader's emotional battle is written clearly on his face. He would love to have the traitor Starscream writhe in a hell of his/her own creation for all of eternity, but he still feels the distant connection to Megatron and a distant need to serve him.

"For Megatron," he says finally, optics narrowing as Scourge reluctantly steps up beside him. "But not for Starscream. Where do we go first?"

Ratchet nods, brightening again as he looks to Scourge. "Do you still have the PINpoint that I programmed for you? I could theoretically bring you myself, but using that will be a lot more comfortable for all of us."

Then he turns back to Cyclonus. "She died in the Nexus and I've caught traces of her around the puddle of mech fluid that she left, so I think that is the best starting point."

"Left it behind," Scourge murmurs ashamedly.

To his credit, Cyclonus doesn't even give his wingmate a disapproving look. "So this was fairly recent, if nobody's bothered to clean it up. But I was unaware people could be harmed in the Nexus."

"I'll get you another one." He offers Scourge a non condemning glance, then answers Cyclonus. "Recent yes, but she was harmed outside the Nexus. Megatron brought her there by accident when a portal opened, and she died before he could get her back to their reality and to their medic."

"How unfortunate," Cyclonus replies, sounding almost smug about it. "All right, take us to her final resting place and we'll see what we can do. I promise nothing, however, and neither does Scourge."

The tracker nods meekly.
