Void-verse. Where Scourge is. Looking for a hand.

Ratchet looks around as he appears in the new reality, feeling the mech that he's searching for, but not seeing him yet. The free spark's usually cheerful face shows deep concern today. He knows this is a long shot gamble, but he can't shake the hunch that Scourge might be able to help him.

He tilts his head and listens. Where is Scourge?

-Soundwave,- she repeats softly, longing welling up. -My... mate.- Then he can feel her frown. -Do you know my name?-

"Wait." Ratchet blinks at Scourge, remembering what he's supposed to be doing. His voice drops as he asks, "Does she know she's dead?"

"She's not dead," Scourge answers. "Not yet."

He nods slightly and his voice lowers. "Starscream. And your Megatron misses you."

Ratchet blinks as he recalls how readily Starscream had slipped into Scourge's shell. Of course she knew she wasn't in her shell any more.

"Slag," he murmurs, stricken. "We were nearly too late."

-Starscream.- She studies the name, feeling a little stronger, though she doesn't recognize it. -Who is Megatron? Is that my master's name?-

"I...think so. He's the one who wanted you back. Do you want us to take you to him?"

She pictures the grey mech, his purple optics scowling at something or other. -Them?-

Ratchet is tempted to listen in, instead he frets in silence for a moment before turning to Cyclonus. "She needs to be with Soundwave. But Soundwave needs to keep his head straight so he can run things. I'm no leader... what do you recommend? Do you think he could do it?"

"Cyclonus. You can trust him. The other is Ratchet..." A slight inner shrug. "I'm not sure about him."

Cyclonus ponders on this for a moment. "Can't you just make her a proxy body to possess?"

Starscream is confused for a moment, but then understands. -I'm sorry. I meant my master.- She shows him the picture again. -He's two beings.-

Her pain and fear are fading, though the static and confusion continue.

Ratchet shakes his head, still frowning with concern. "She's too weak. She's got to have communion with another spark, or she'll lose herself completely. Soundwave is her mate, so he's the most likely. Megatron hasn't got room."

"Two...how does that work?" Scourge replies with equal confusion.

Cyclonus again waves his hand through Ratchet. "So let's go and drop her on him, then."
