Harley had been strolling along the beach, a couple of days after she had been proposed to by Jack Sparrow. Lost in her own thoughts, she had been wondering if Dick would of approved of the new man in her life. She had also been thinking of the wedding gift she had left for her future husband in a safe deposit account at Gotham Bank. A part of her wished so hard that she could get that gift to give to Jack Sparrow, that same part of her had also wished she could talk to Dick about the new development.

Suddenly she noticed a chill in the air, and looking around she realized she was no longer at the Boardwalk. Harley recognized where she was standing, she had been here before with Deona and Kurt, it was the future reality of Gotham City. She was not quite sure how she ended up here, but she knew that she should take advantage of the situation given to her.

Unfortunately she was quite lost. Last time she had been at the graveyard, and now she was somewhere in the city. The city had grown over the years, and she was not sure how to get to Gotham Bank, or to the Graveyard. Harley sighed to herself, and looked around hoping to catch a glimpse of a familiar landmark.

"Master Bruce and Master Dick fought bitterly when Master Bruce decided to let Miss Selena into his life," said Prudence, wheeling in a cart with tea and treats. "I feared they would never reconcile. But they did."

"They had been fighting over me, and because of what happened... they most likely died being mad at each other." the thought saddens Harley, and she feels horrible responsible.

Prudence shook her head. "Don't blame yourself, Miss Harley. Master Dick would not approve."

Harley nodded, and looked up with a soft smile, "Dick always wanted me to be happy with what life gave me. I just wish he had made his peace with Bruce, that is all."

Prudence handed her her favorite kind of doughnut on a little china plate, then offered her tea or coffee from the silver service. "Master Dick was a wise man, in his way."

Harley accepts the offered doughtnut, and the tea, and nods. "He was a good man. His memory will still live on in my heart."

The butler nodded, her eyes full of memories, then turned and served Brenda, who seemed to be fading toward sleep. This done, she sat on the end of the couch by her mistress's feet and helped herself to a cup of tea. "How did the two of you come to find one another?"

"Well, like your Harley I too worked alongside the Joker. I got out of that abusive relationship early on, and started to work by myself."
"One week, I decided for kicks to see how the good guys lived, so I dressed as Batgirl and went to Gotham City. Actually saved Robin from some thugs, but what I had not realized was that the real Batgirl had been killed by Joker. Her name was Barbara Gordon, and she and Dick were really close."
"Learning I was dressed as Batgirl, Dick came after me with a vengeance, as Nightwing. We ended up on a roof, sparring, when Joker showed up. Joker had decided to kill the sidekicks of the Batman, and was after both Nightwing and Batgirl. Did not even realize it was me in the Batgirl costume."
"Nightwing thought it had been all a set-up, and was caught by surprise when Joker shot at him, with a shot that would of killed him. I... I took the bullet for him, because I could feel Nightwing's pain of losing Barbara."
Harley looked out the window, "When I woke up in the hospital, Dick was there and it that was the starts of our friendship. It took a lot of work for me to prove myself to him, but soon we were working together, then one day when we were out for coffee he just reached over to kiss me."

Prudence nodded and looked into her tea. "The granddaughter of our Harley married the son of Timothy Drake."

"I had wondered if there were still any of her blood around, my friend told me how she died in child birth," Harley muttered.
"When Dick and I started dating, Tim did not have so much of a problem. There had been that time that Joker kidnapped Robin, and I took care of him and protected him, so he somewhat trusted me. But Bruce... he could never accept the women who used to sleep with the man who killed his parents."
