Nexus. Blue's bar. In the corner
The pink and white femme didn't look up from the cube in her hands as Blue stopped by the corner booth and started to wipe the table.
"You still here?" The bartender glanced at her border's blank expression. "Maybe you've had enough to drink."
"Mmmm," said Arcee absently, her optics still buried in the pink of the mid-grade.
"Arcee?" Blue pushed on her shoulder gently. "Something wrong?"
"Just leave me alone," rasped the pink and white.
"Why?" Blue frowned and pulled up a chair. "Has this got something to do with that retirement place you didn't get to go to?"
Arcee flinched slightly, her face going blanker. "Leave me alone."
"I think you need to talk." Blue's frown turned to concern.
"Talking won't fix anything. I don't trust myself not to say something stupid anyway." Arcee's voice was as blank as her expression.
"What happened?"
"None of your business." She lowered her head, but then went rigid with surprise as the larger femme surged to her feet and yanked her out of the booth.
"I asked you what happened." Blue shook her and then glowered into her face.
"Put me down." No emotion came into Arcee's voice. "He might hate my spark, but I'm not doing anything that would trouble him anymore."
"He... what, Ratchet? Did you have a fight with the old guy?" The bartender frowned.
Arcee just looked at her and the pale blue femme frowned and shook her again.
"Well sinking into self-pity isn't going to help anything."
"This isn't self pity. I don't know what to do, so I'm doing nothing." She reached up and pressed on Blue's wrist, then went back to her seat as she was dropped. "I'll have another low-grade to replace the one you spilled."
"What do you mean, you don't know what to do? You're always doing something. You were built to do things. You're good at it." The bartender rubbed the pressed circuit, scowling.
"I haven't done any good since I left Cybertron." Arcee looked into the empty cube. "Maybe I should go back. I don't know. They retired me."
Blue scowled down at her, then shook her head and went to the bar, deciding to sic Hormah on her the next time she saw the crazy little hybrid 'Con.

Arcee was aware of the blue femme's going, but didn't look up from the table as she pondered her actions since coming to the Nexus.
He feels used. She rubbed her faceplate. And he doesn't trust me anymore. He was doing fine before I showed up... Arcee, you're a screwup. Why couldn't you just settle down and let him take care of you, and monitor the Nexus... or go home? Retirement's not the end of the world. And now... what? I have no idea. Other than to keep out of trouble... too little too late, but... I ....
She blinked as Blue set down the new cube of energon and made herself drink part of it, then leaned back into the corner and put herself into stasis, thinking that a sleep might clear her processor a little.
