Crashing
Jubee pressed the bike as hard as it would go, roaring out the Harley challenge as she shot down the back roads of New York, Massachusets, New Hampshire....
She wanted to go North, as far as she could, but the amount of injuries and pains that covered her body and soul were taking thier toll, and the bike weaved dangerously as she struggled to control it and keep going forward.
Stupid Chase. Stupid Ororo. Stupid Jean... stupid everybody!
Tears formed in her eyes, and the road got blurry and dark, and she weaved further until finally the inevitable occured and the bike hit a rut, then went spinning and flyingout of control down the road with Jubes hanging on for dear life.
The handlebars were ripped from her grasp, and she felt herself flying, then felt the bike smash into the ground, and finally she let go, ready to die and prove to everybody that Jubilation Lee would never learn anything, not how to take care of herself, not how to drive, and not how to keep herself under control.
She closed her eyes as time seemed to slow, and waiting to careen into the trees headfirst and have it all gone, and done. Finally.

Maybe... was this Heaven? Did she somehow manage to get here, even after everything she'd done?

But then slowly she realized that some of the things were floating blobs of water, some of them big enough to have things swimming around inside them; others looked like nothing so much as floating trees with leaves at both ends of their trunks; and yet others looked like small forests of gnarled trees all woven together.
Through all this looking the sound of running water continued behind her, unnoticed as yet.

Of course she wasn't. Figures she even messes up her death.
"M' fine," she mumbled.

Quite some time later
Re: Quite some time later
She turned her head slowly, her vision swimming slightly before she frowned.
"Wolvie?" she whispered, feeling her stomach lurch.

"What's all this unholy racket?" growled a gravelly voice.
"She is upset, Sir James," said Anmut calmly. "I am sorry for disturbing you."
"What's this then?" There was a deep growl. "Did we not just send that one off?"
"No. This is a different girl, sir."

"A..afraid," she choked out. "Afraid of the dark."

Soft light suddenly permated the room as a pair of glowing globes floated down to tuck themselves under the canopy.
"Danke," said Anmut. "Better, Leibling?"
