Truce 'verse. Cureall's apartment. Looking for someone.

One moment the corridor outside Cureall's apartment door is empty.

And the next moment there's a swish and a tall, powerfully built human man is raising his hand to knock, his bright blue eyes creased in a deep frown.

The knock stirs up scolding from within, and the sound of small wings swooping about. He waits to see what else it brings.

Kigan's snuzzling close, his optics dimmed as his weary systems ask for recharge, when Charlie's return makes him startle and whimper. What? Where? Yike!

Cureall makes a soft shushing noise and turns to Charlie. "You scared him. Is all well?"

"Sorry." He frowns. But then his expression clears. "Yes, everything's fine. Cureall, would you like a job?"

Kigan listens to her soft sound and to her feelings, and hides his face against her.

Cureall gently strokes the top of Kigan's head as she considers Charlie's offer. "A job? While this one is on leave to care for Kigan?"

"Your first duty would be tending him. But I'm asking if you'd like to become an agent of the network."

"But...this one isn't magic like you or Kigan. How can she possibly be an agent?"
