As Random finishes his Sunrise, deciding what exactly to do next, he takes a look around the bar . . .

Random is so distracted by whatever thoughts are causing him to remain outside of the group and stare down at the ground that he doesn't seem to register anything that goes on. He doesn't start, he doesn't flinch and he doesn't turn.

"Random? Random!" calls Blue. "Random!?"

Fender reaches over and smacks him in the back of the helm.

That does something, and if he doesn't move, Fender will find himself with a face full of fire extinguisher fluid.

The old soldier was moving before he finished smacking, and now he's standing and griping to himself about how his knee servo's hurting.

"Random," says Blue again. "Can you hear me now?"

His hand replaces the nozzle. ". . . Yes."
