As Random finishes his Sunrise, deciding what exactly to do next, he takes a look around the bar . . .

There's a soft sound as he lays her down, and her brows draw together slightly.

"Hormah's incoming with a medic," says Blue, so intent on the message that she just received and the relaying of it that she misses her friend's actions.

"Arcee?" Realizing what he heard, he refocuses his attention from the room onto her and gets a bit closer to the berth.

Random's so intent on Arcee he doens't really catch what Blue just said.

Her optic shutters flutter and then lift, and she frowns up at him blankly, wracking her processor for some clue as to who this is.

And Blue just stays where she is, wondering why she's afraid to move.

". . . How are you feeling?" he sounds calm at least.

The frown gives way to hesitant recognition as spark memory comes to the fore to replace what she's lost.

"Random. Blue...." Her optics search the room. "Keg?"

He lets out air he hadn't realized he'd been holding.

"Yes, he's downstairs."

'Yes' she understands, though the rest is beyond her at the moment. Still, she's satisfied that Keg is a yes. "What... happened?"

A another simply question with what could be a complex answer. Mandelbrot's fractal!

"You'd just won a race in the Nexus when a drone hit you with a EMP blast as you were accepting the medal," he says after a moment of hesitation. As he says this, he pulls out said medal and hands it to her. "The blast took everything except your spark offline, but Hormah was able to restart your engine and we--Blue, Keg, and me--brought you back to the bar."

She looks at the medal, and her hand moves a couple times before she remembers how to lift it and take what's being offered. This done, she looks at it blankly, trying to access files that are no longer available and trying to understand what Random just told her.

Finally she looks up, her confusion clear. "Why?"

He knows that look. He wears it all the time.

He shutters his optics a moment, taking a deep breath, despite appearing relatively calm.

"Why, what?" he asks patiently when he looks back up. "Why you were shot or why we brought you back? Or . . .?"

"Why... was I shot?" Her other hand moves, and then she tries to push herself up to sit.

He replies to the easiest thing first. "I don't think you should be doing that yet."

"As for why you were shot . . . I'm . . . not sure." He turns to look at Blue. //Did that one 'Con ever come back after Arcee found out?//
