Z'verse 3. Dalla's garden. Search for Swindle

Blitzwing had never been this frantic before in his life.

Check that.. the Icy persona thought to himself as he appeared in what seemed to be a garden of some sort, I haven't been this frantic since I became a Decepticon. He refused to let either Hothead or Random out at this time, calming himself down. He was doing something, he couldn't be faulted for that.

But why the slag was he getting so worried about that fragging glitch-rat anyway?

Because it's my fault he was taken out of the Dream in the first place, Icy responded to the thought, unsure from which of the three of them it came from. If he hadn't dragged him out with him that one time, Swindle would probably be home, safe, not Spark-Knows-Where.

A flood of relief goes through the three of them--Swindle wasn't lost, he was with Zoe, he was safe.

Ahhh! I'm going to break that glitch-rat into tiny pieces and pound those pieces into.... Hothead snarled inwardly.

Swindle doesn't have pieces to break anymore... Random interrupted, but he agreed with the thought. Still should have come back and told us!

"Shush, you two," Icy said softly, then smiled at Dalla, "We would be delighted.."

..with wringing that slagger's neck! Hothead fumed. Icy sighed inwardly.

Their hostess smiles back, the expression oddly soothing for coming from a forty foot bipedal wolf.

"I'm not sure what your people take for refreshment," she says, turning to go back the way she came and waiting for him to walk beside her. "But if I have it, you're welcome to it."

See that shiny blue rock on the path, Random? It smells like energon....

"Oil, usually, energon is preferred but rather rare," Blitzwing says, and stops. A moment, and Random has taken control, sniffing at the air.

"Ooooo, I smell energon! I swear it!" the black-faced persona said, looking around excitedly, then looked down. And gave a weird look. "The rocks...smell like energon?"

Icy is trying to get back in control, but it's no use, and he settles for pleading with Random NOT to go down on all fours to investigate...

Dalla looks too, then shifts her fosterling over to one arm as she crouches to pick up the blue stone. "This? Is this what you mean?"

In her hand it's clear that the rock is glowing very very faintly.

Random gives a confused look at the faintly glowing stone, but he sniffs at it, and his familiar grin spreads over his face. "Yes, that's energon! It's normally liquid, though..."

Icy finally took over, "Is that..natural?" He's quite sure those Cybertronian Sunrises are made that way, he's never seen energon occur naturally in solid form before.

Dalla sniffs it herself as she stands, one eyebrow quirking. "They're mined and sold for heating and cooking fuel. This one probably fell out of one of the bins when the rock man brought the order for the house."

"Mined," Icy said, amazed that energon could be dug out of the ground. He looked at the rock again, "May I examine it?"
