Z'verse 3. Dalla's garden. Search for Swindle

Blitzwing had never been this frantic before in his life.

Check that.. the Icy persona thought to himself as he appeared in what seemed to be a garden of some sort, I haven't been this frantic since I became a Decepticon. He refused to let either Hothead or Random out at this time, calming himself down. He was doing something, he couldn't be faulted for that.

But why the slag was he getting so worried about that fragging glitch-rat anyway?

Because it's my fault he was taken out of the Dream in the first place, Icy responded to the thought, unsure from which of the three of them it came from. If he hadn't dragged him out with him that one time, Swindle would probably be home, safe, not Spark-Knows-Where.

"Who goes there?" demands a deep voice as two furry beings around twenty foot tall step out from behind some sort of flowering hedge. One of the Lu males is black, while the other is a sort of golden brindle, and both of them have short, sleek fur and very stern expressions.

"I do not mean to intrude," Blitzwing said, holding his hands visible, "I am simply looking for a Zoe Walker, or perhaps Dalla?"

Yes, so we can find out where Swindle is and bash his square head in! Hothead thought angrily. Icy knew his easily-angered brother was just as worried as the rest of them, but he was glad he wasn't the one in control at this time.

"Sure." She hands it over, then shifts the toddler again and pats his back, waiting till her guest is content to move again before she tries leading him inside again.

Blitzwing takes the rock, and his monocle extends as he gives it a closer look. "It seems to be combined with other minerals, making it inert, but still a viable fuel option," Icy says, then takes a small nibble. "Hmm, a litte bland, but not at all bad." he added afterwards.

Random whined that HE wanted the first bite and that Icy was a meanie.

"They just build some bodies and then let loose a virus that makes them all cranky and sick for awhile before it finally settles in the bodies and makes new Nroo." She stoops to pick several tiny red violets, then nibbles on them absently as she too moves closer to the house. She's not bothered by his lagging in the least; he's an interesting new friend and a guest, and she likes her garden. They'll get inside when they get there.

"How curious," Icy says about the reproductive tendencies of these Nroo.

He's still holding that energon rock, and Random 'sneaks out' and into control while Icy's contemplating to get a nibble.

"You... get out of my sight before I make you a date with some mushrooms and the inside of the oven! GO!" Dalla's voice is rageful and followed by a yelp and scurrying. Muttering follows, and then she comes in with a heavy metal bowl of the glowing rock. "I'm sorry, Blitzwing, the idiot dropped it on the floor."

"We heard," Hothead as calmly as he could possibly manage.

The older child creeps closer as he sorts, and finally ventures to offer, "I can take the bad ones to the kitchen?"

Random was the one in control when the question was asked. "Oh, thank you!" he grinned, removing all the puce ones from the bowl.

"...Oh," says the little boy with surprise. "Do you like crunching things up, now that you tried it?"

"It has been a rather novel experience," Blitzwing says, then mutters, "No, you do not...Random, please?" He puts his hand on his head, shaking it.

Dalla watches him talk to himself, then nods to his thanks. "Do you want us to try and tell them that you're here?"

"That would...probably be best..." Icy said slowly, frowning at Hothead's newly revived rant of all the things he was going to do to Swindle for making them worry.

Dalla blinks and tries to get her mind back onto the conversation. "Send out a little flying thing?"

Dusk, arms around the dog's neck, laughs at her expression.

"Not exactly, but.." Blitzwing said, "I could have sent out an open frequency, if Zoe has her com-link on, she could have responded..."

//I should have told you when I went to get his holo emitter last night.// She sighs. //Yes.//

She came and got it? both Hothead and Random spoke in unison. Random then GIGGLED and Hothead seemed a little less irate. Icy smirked slightly, //You'll tell him we're here?//

She nods to an elaborately decorated senet set, and then to a board on a nearby table that looks something like the viking version of chess. "I have those two, and know a few others."

"Chess?" Random perks at the one game. Well, it looks like chess to him, at least.

Dalla chuckles, then perks her ears. "Government soldiers? And what sort of business does Swindle have?"

"Used to, in a way," Blitzwing said as he changed to Icy, but he thought it best to be truthful, "Not with our government anymore. Swindle sells stuff. Mostly weapons, considering the War was on full when he came online, but he's got a good eye for just about anything, and the spark of an inventor. Can't say we first met on the best of terms, though. Oh, fine, your game." And Random regained control with a grin.

"How old?" Dalla is pleased to have found a conversation topic that both she and her guest are interested in. She rubs Smoke's back again as she considers her next move.

"Oh...." Another black youngster pauses in the doorway, his dark blue eyes on the stranger who is holding his little brother.

"Come in, Night." Dalla looks up with a smile.

"Oh, well...that's difficult," Random says, "The spark is as old as mine, I think, but his shell and new programming have him...about...maybe his age?" Random nods to the youngster Dalla's holding. "He remembers things of his life before, he remembers another me..."

"Alt mode?" Ahah! He made the move she'd been hoping for! Her counter move is swift.

Random doesn't seem perturbed at all by that move, and acts like he was expecting it. Of course, considering the speed of his other moves..."Yes, I..." Blitzwing starts, then looks down at the child he's holding, "Could I show you later?"

"...This is a part of you? The holo emitter?" asks Dalla, trying to understand.

Then she turns her head and looks at the tall plant that a servant's just brought in and parked in a corner. It's... standing on a blanket stand.

"No, but I supposed it could be installed," Blitzwing says...then stops. And Random returns in control, a SMIRK on his face. If Zoe's got one installed...

"What's it for?" asks Dalla, turning to look at it again as she peels her citrus. "Is it just an ornament?"

"No, some used it to make some type of flexible armor," Blitzwing considered, "Nothing my people would need, but Swindle has dealt with many others..."

"I remember my younger brothers." Dalla nods. "Turning your back for just a moment... and it doesn't even matter if they know better sometimes. The strange thing will be tasted, or the bean will go up the nose...." She shakes her head.

"Bean...up...nose?" Random tilts his head at that. He doesn't even have a nose, and neither Icy's or Hothead's could fit anything in theirs...

Dalla watches the man go, then turns back to her guest. "Sorry. What were we talking about again?"

"Memories," Random says.

"We women have been known to live around eighty years. I'm thirty one." She looks down at Night as he murmurs, then smiles and makes the move that he shyly suggests.

"That's..." Random starts, not really wanting to finish saying '..not very long at all.' Instead he makes his move, then stops to look over the board.

Smoke is asleep, and the middle brother's well on his way to joining him. But Night is still awake and asking the occasional quiet and very intelligent question about things when Swindle and Zoe arrive.

Hothead had given control to Icy to answer one of those questions. Probably a good thing...

"It's a match," Dalla tells Blitzwing, grinning as she makes out just what's being set up here.

"A match?" Blitzwing echos, wondering why he'd need a match for.

"Just wait until they're set up," Swindle says, not wanting to spoil the surprise.

-FIRE!- says Silver avidly, her sendings full of utter YAY as she peeps excitedly. -SHINY! Weeeee!-

And Silver enjoying the show was definitely a bonus for Swindle. ^.^

Blitzwing now started to switch between faces, all wanting to get some view of the fireworks.

-Group hug?- asks Silver, her head bobbing as she tries to lift it.

Zoe chuckles. "I like that idea...."

"Group hug!" Random resumed control with that, gathering up Swindle and herding him over to Zoe before he could say or do otherwise.
