Z'verse 3. Dalla's garden. Search for Swindle

Blitzwing had never been this frantic before in his life.

Check that.. the Icy persona thought to himself as he appeared in what seemed to be a garden of some sort, I haven't been this frantic since I became a Decepticon. He refused to let either Hothead or Random out at this time, calming himself down. He was doing something, he couldn't be faulted for that.

But why the slag was he getting so worried about that fragging glitch-rat anyway?

Because it's my fault he was taken out of the Dream in the first place, Icy responded to the thought, unsure from which of the three of them it came from. If he hadn't dragged him out with him that one time, Swindle would probably be home, safe, not Spark-Knows-Where.

"I guess so." She grins and shrugs, then chuckles at Random. "I wonder if the different colours taste different."

"There's different colors?" Random said, his interest perking--not that it wasn't perked before, "Ooooo, I..."

"...would be quite interested in seeing those," Icy quickly interrupts, while Random fusses about being interrupted.

Well, now you know how WE feel Hothead said with a smirk.

"Well, idiot boy should have your coppa heading toward the sitting hall by now. Would you like to come and see?" she invites as she feeds a couple flowers to the toddler.

"We would be delighted," Icy says with a smile.

Dalla grins and leads him to the same place where she'd let Zoe and Swindle sit. There's no rock yet, but there is a slightly older child laying by the fountain and intently watching the fish swim. Spider born globes rest on some of the pillars, and bricks of chanic butter burn in scented lamps.

Icy looked around with barely concealed curiousity. He at least knew what fish were, and here the spiders didn't seem intent on eating people. Until the rock arrives, Random's content enough to let Icy look around.

His hostess sets the toddler down with a gentle admonishment to leave the fish alone, then excuses herself and goes to see where the rock is and to send out servants to see if they can't find where Zoe is.

The toddler watches her go, then looks at his brother for a moment before turning and giving Bitzwing a quizzical, wary look. What does this guy think of little boy babies?

Blitzwing tilts his head at the young Lu, and a small smile forms on his face...and then Random takes over, grinning and cooing in glee. Yes, Random thinks that little boy babies are cute. Of course he'd think most babies are cute.

The toddler is intrigued, his ears perking forward as his blue-grey eyes widen slightly.

And then someone yelps and drops something just on the other side of the door that Dalla went through, and he's clinging to his big brother and whimpering with terror. The energon smell's stronger now.

Random looks worried at the young Lu, wondering why the child would be so scared of the noise. He's not ignoring the scent of the energon, but.. "Are you ok?" Blitzwing asks.

"We're just not sure what's going to happen yet," says the toddler's older brother as he turns over and hugs the little guy. "Mama was supposed to eat us, but the bad man took us away instead and sold us. And now this Mama's trying to find our first Mama...."

He rubs his head with confusion.

Random is silent at that. He just can't it through his processor, and just stands there, slack-jawed.

He'd probably still be like that when Dalla came back if Hothead hadn't taken over to let Icy explain things in private--not that Icy understood any more of this situation than Random did, but at least enough that different species do different things.
