Blitzwing had never been this frantic before in his life.

Check that.. the Icy persona thought to himself as he appeared in what seemed to be a garden of some sort, I haven't been this frantic since I became a Decepticon. He refused to let either Hothead or Random out at this time, calming himself down. He was doing something, he couldn't be faulted for that.

But why the slag was he getting so worried about that fragging glitch-rat anyway?

Because it's my fault he was taken out of the Dream in the first place, Icy responded to the thought, unsure from which of the three of them it came from. If he hadn't dragged him out with him that one time, Swindle would probably be home, safe, not Spark-Knows-Where.

Dalla watches him talk to himself, then nods to his thanks. "Do you want us to try and tell them that you're here?"

"That would...probably be best..." Icy said slowly, frowning at Hothead's newly revived rant of all the things he was going to do to Swindle for making them worry.

"Alright." She gets up and moves over to kneel in front of a low desk, where the hawk sits on the corner as she carefully writes on the back of the little scrap of fishskin. This done, she replaces the parchment into the cylinder and tells the little bird. "Find Jonny!"

There's an excited keeking from the tiny falcon, and then he's off and gone.

Blitzwing watches the falcon leave with interest. "Curious," he says, "How does he find his way? Is he trained, or some instinct?"

"His handler raised him, so he thinks the boy is his mother. Jonny also wears a hat with a certain pattern on it that only he's allowed to wear, which helps Dart find him in the crowds. And he's also been trained to find both Jonny and myself."

"He's nicer than the other message bird," says Dusk. "He doesn't bite."

"Intriguing," Blitzwing says. He wonders if anyone on Cybertron ever managed to do likewise. Not that he'd know...

"Yes, but the other messenger bird is more dependable," says Dalla as she returns to her cushion. "Though the dog is the best for long distances."

Blitzwing is taking this all in. "We have other ways of contact," Blitzwing says, "Com-links. Swindle doesn't have one, or this wouldn't be a problem." In fact, that was one thing they were talking about...long distance communication..and how to fix that little glitch in their system.

"Com-link?" asks Dalla as a big flop-eared lurcher wanders in and comes to lick Dusk's face. "Does Zoe have one?"

Dusk is sputtering and laughing. He likes the dogs.

Blitzwing pauses at this, then shakes his head, "Yes, but we don't have her frequency. After this, I'll be sure to get it, just in case."

I bet Swindle has her frequency... Random cackled wildly.

Swindle doesn't have a com-link, you glitchhead, how.. Hothead started, and then laughed himself.

"You two..." Icy just shook his head.

"I'm not sure I understand what I mean... but you don't have something that you'd need to send her messages?" Dalla accepts a bowl of fruit from a greying Lu man, then pauses and looks at the elder thoughtfully.

"That is correct..." Blitzwing said, "We could take a guess at the frequency..." Blitzwing paused, "..what are the chances of anyone else here having similar com-links?"

"Unless it's the people in the citadels? I'd say not very great." Dalla smiles approvingly at her retainer, then turns back to her guest. "The Nroo don't seem to have anything like that. They send little flying things around."

"..and now I have the urge to go find a wall to hit my head against," Blitzwing all but moans, facepalming again, "Could have just done that..."
