Z'verse 3. Dalla's garden. Search for Swindle

Blitzwing had never been this frantic before in his life.

Check that.. the Icy persona thought to himself as he appeared in what seemed to be a garden of some sort, I haven't been this frantic since I became a Decepticon. He refused to let either Hothead or Random out at this time, calming himself down. He was doing something, he couldn't be faulted for that.

But why the slag was he getting so worried about that fragging glitch-rat anyway?

Because it's my fault he was taken out of the Dream in the first place, Icy responded to the thought, unsure from which of the three of them it came from. If he hadn't dragged him out with him that one time, Swindle would probably be home, safe, not Spark-Knows-Where.

Dalla chuckles, then perks her ears. "Government soldiers? And what sort of business does Swindle have?"

"Used to, in a way," Blitzwing said as he changed to Icy, but he thought it best to be truthful, "Not with our government anymore. Swindle sells stuff. Mostly weapons, considering the War was on full when he came online, but he's got a good eye for just about anything, and the spark of an inventor. Can't say we first met on the best of terms, though. Oh, fine, your game." And Random regained control with a grin.

"Hmm. War around here is just legend. Though we have riots at times and the Protectorate try to break them up. They're mostly caused by food shortages."

Random twitches ever so slightly at 'food shortage', but nods anyway.

"I'm expanding my meat culture lab, and my hydroponic farms. But I'm trying to think of something else that can be grown cheaply with just a little space," she muses, frowning as she munches another melon. "Some ass wanted to cull people for food... I came this close to eating him. But he wasn't Lu, so I had to contain myself."

"'Fraid I can't help there," Random says as he's considering different moves depending on how Dalla moves next, "I'm...not quite sure what people besides my type eat. We normally don't each each other, though." He at least kinda understands the different species thing, but he stays on the 'normally' a tad longer than the other words.

Dalla frowns at the board, then moves and looks down at the toddler in her lap, her expression protective and concerned. "It's my duty."

Then she shakes herself slightly and looks back to the board. "Do your people have children?"

Zipp! Random moves again, tilting his head slightly at Dalla's reply. "Duty?" he questions, then answers, slowly, "It's not too common, but it's posssible. We're rather long lived."

"Yes." She strokes Smoke's back and perks her ears at the board with a slightly comical ear twitch. "Ah. I was going to ask if you and your wife... er... mate? did you say?... had any."

Random lets the question slide, then nods, "Mate, yes..." Random's face frowns slighty, then perks, "We've adopted."

"Really?" Dalla's hand pauses on a game piece. "How many?"

Random watches, but has his eyes on three other pieces as well. "Just one," Random says.

She moves a different piece even as she smiles. "Boy or girl?"

"Boy, his name's Lugnut," Random says, moving a seemingly random piece.
