"House! Stop standing there and grinning! You're scaring the patients!" ordered Cuddy as she strode past, heels clicking.

Wilson watched her go, then turned back to his friend, who was leaning against the wall with the afformentioned expression on his face. "It's scaring me. And I think Foreman's hiding down in Ultrasound; that wolf was the final straw."

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with, Spirit." House states with a slight shrug, that smile not once leaving his lips. "Besides, quite complaining James. Would you rather I go around snapping at everybody?"

"We're used to that." He shrugs. "Is he really your son?"

"Seeing as I plan on marrying the woman..." He loves the look his friend gives him. "That'd be a yes." In an odd ball way.

Wilson pauses, then shakes his head, more like he's clearing it than like he's disagreeing. "I just... it's hard to believe. You married. With kids."

He pats his friend on the back. "You'll get used to it."

"How many kids has she got?"

"Who are you and what the @#$%& have you done with my best friend?"

"I'm an alien trapped in the good doctor's body." He states with a wicked little smirk.

"That's not funny. After some of the things I've seen lately I'd almost believe it." He scowls.

"Why not?" he makes a frustrated gesture.

"Because you don't live at the Lunatic Cafe." He states simply.

"It's about Bethany. Are you sure you want him here?" Charlie glances at Wilson.

"He's my best friend, Charlie. If he can't handle it then he can walk out." House states simply. "What about Bethany?"

"She's related to you."

That makes the good doctor blink. "Come again. How?"

"I don't think you need to worry about that." She nods, then turns to Charlie. "How long have I been gone?"

"Over a hundred years," he says gruffly. "You're really pushing the envalope this time. Is Mom with you?"

"No. This is a solo trip." She looks around, then sighes and suddenly isn't there anymore.

"Well... that was just an interesting bit of information."

"X-Men, right." Wilson raises his eyebrows ruefully, then looks at him hopefully. "You owe me a beer."

"I mean that you're eating dinosaur."

"You tomin' home soon, Ada?" asks a woebegon little voice. He can nearly hear the chin quiver.

House smiles hearing Ben's voice. "Yeah little man. I'll be coming home soon."
