Future Knight Universe - Practicing

Porthos sighed, testing the feel of one of the spare swords he'd been provided to test with. He was, as always, good at picking up the feel of new weapons, but it didn't seem right withought his old sword by his side. He knew every nick and nooks of it, it was as as good as an extension of his own hand.

He sighed, then went back through his drills, striving to improve the new forms Brenda had taught him, and perfect his better moves with a new blade and new trousers, which felt as ridiculous as they looked.

Her eyes linger on his lips for a moment as she bites her lip, but then she lowers the blades and turns her cheek toward him.

He chuckled and then went forward, gently turning her and grazing her lips before he smiled and drew away, blinking for a moment.

"Oh, I feel all floaty," he giggled, moving a few feet away and then looking at her. "You know... let's duel again. Same rewards."

"I need to practise some of the other forms." Brenda closed her eyes and gave a deep sigh, then rubbed her arms and picked up the scabbards before walking over to set the swords on a rack. "And you need to get used to going against them." She picked up a bamboo katana and looked over her shoulder at him. "Do you think you can force yourself to set the Rose aside for a practise blade for a little while?"

"Alright," he sighed, then smiled and nodded.Anything just to spend time with her.

"So," he asked, putting aside his sword and picking up the one he'd been training with earlier. "Have any new quests in mind for some night soon?"

"Clark says we can go patrolling tomorrow night." She goes into a slow kata to stretch out her muscles. "This afternoon after I'm done schoolwork I'd like to show you how to escape some things."

"Technology's come a long way since the time of the Sun King, Porthos. You need to know how to work with the ones here, too." She suddenly flashed out of the kata and into an attack, katana and dagger singing.
