House's 'verse. Proposing. His Home in New Jersey

House made sure that the kids were in safe hands before he took Logan's hand and gave her a smile. "Don't worry. You'll like this surprise." He knew what her feeling on surprises were but this one wouldn't... yeah, it wasn't anything like when he painted their place at the cafe. He led her through the door and they ended up back in his 'verse and right into his home. "Make yourself at home, Logan. I've got to do something." Leaving her in the living room he disappeared off into his bedroom and right into the closet. Kind of ironic considering how many times he'd dragged her out of the closet. But there was something important there that he needed.

"You don't even know what closet I'm talking about."

Her dark eyes look up at him quizzically as Bethany pushes hard against his belly.

He chuckles. "Place has three different closets."

"Ain' interested right now." She smirks. "Busy cuddlin' an old guy."

"I don't see any old men here."

She just chuckles and pokes him in the ribs.

He gives a chuckle of his own. "Well, its true."

"So ya hauled me out here jes' fer this?" She wriggles her ring hand.

"Considering I wanted it to be just us when I proposed to you, yes."

"Hmmm." She rumbles contentedly. "So y' got any ideas 'bout the marryin' part?"

Then she stiffens with a groan as the familiar sensation of something wedged in her hip joint starts.

"That part can come later." House states simply.

"Get the kid ta relax..." she grits.

House shakes his head and lays his hand on her stomach. "Stop giving mommy such a hard time already."
