Joy woke slowly, stretching before she opened her eyes and then stopping short as she realized that things didn't sound, feel, or even smell right.

Jerking to a sitting position, she looked around with dismay to find herself in a tiny, comfortably furnished room, tucked into a pile of cushions and sheets on a broad windowseat that overlooked a patch of semi-tropical undergrowth.

The gentle beauty of the place was lost on her as she tossed the bedding aside and leaped toward the door. "Kurt??"

"Somevon is looking out for us," he smiled slightly, glancing towards Heaven and murmuring a short thanks before he started gathering the ingrediants.

"Alvays." Her ears twitched again as she closed that cabinet and investigated the lower drawers, door and bins. "I should see if there's somethin' more'n me nightdress t' vear."

"Ja," he smiled, looking at her adoringly. "I vill haff you a vonderful meal ven you come back, mien liebe."

She touched his cheek, noting to herself that he seemed to have been sleeping in his clothes again, then turned and walked back into the bedroom, praying fervently that Kurt would still be there when she came back out.

He was, and in the middle of singing some German love song as he seasoned a couple lovely omlettes, tail swishing as he grinned to himself and pushed some bacon around in a different frying pan.

Joy chuckled and walked over to get out the tin plates she'd seen by the beer and the cutlery from the drawer, her well-worn canvas shorts sitting comfortably around her hips and the embroidery on her halter winking slightly in the light.

Kurt looked up, then went slightly slack-jawed.

"Sie sind schön!" he muttered, looking at her.
