Joy woke slowly, stretching before she opened her eyes and then stopping short as she realized that things didn't sound, feel, or even smell right.

Jerking to a sitting position, she looked around with dismay to find herself in a tiny, comfortably furnished room, tucked into a pile of cushions and sheets on a broad windowseat that overlooked a patch of semi-tropical undergrowth.

The gentle beauty of the place was lost on her as she tossed the bedding aside and leaped toward the door. "Kurt??"

He smiled, then offered his hand. "My lady?"

She chuckled and took it. "Yer vay 'er mine?"

He grinned and suddenly both of them fell a few feet into shimmering, crystal blue water, which splached at thier waists.

She gasped, then laughed and let go his hands to flop backward with her wings spread, causing a miniature tidal wave that soaked him completely.

"Eek!" he said, then laughed as well. "You like?"

Joy sputtered and spat, then stood and shook her herself. "Och! Ja!"

With another laugh she launched skyward and headed toward deeper water.

"Careful, liebe, shouldn't you know how to swin first?" he called, a little worried.
