Joy woke slowly, stretching before she opened her eyes and then stopping short as she realized that things didn't sound, feel, or even smell right.

Jerking to a sitting position, she looked around with dismay to find herself in a tiny, comfortably furnished room, tucked into a pile of cushions and sheets on a broad windowseat that overlooked a patch of semi-tropical undergrowth.

The gentle beauty of the place was lost on her as she tossed the bedding aside and leaped toward the door. "Kurt??"

She only chuckled and enjoyed the feeling of flying without effort, something she hadn't known since she was tiny and her mother had carried her. "Och...."
