Joy woke slowly, stretching before she opened her eyes and then stopping short as she realized that things didn't sound, feel, or even smell right.

Jerking to a sitting position, she looked around with dismay to find herself in a tiny, comfortably furnished room, tucked into a pile of cushions and sheets on a broad windowseat that overlooked a patch of semi-tropical undergrowth.

The gentle beauty of the place was lost on her as she tossed the bedding aside and leaped toward the door. "Kurt??"

He smiled.

"I can do sushi. But zere's not much cooking skill zat goes into grabbing it und chompin'," he chuckled.

"Not much waitin', either." She chuckled as she fished the empty shell out and ate it.

He smirked.

"Sorry zat my fine cuisine requires patience," he teased right back.

Joy just laughed and threw more water.

"I'm varning you..." he paused, then dissappeared, reappearing a good ten feet in the air, curled up.

"Cannonball!" he laughed, creating a huge tidal wave.

"Aiii!" She laughed and leaped into the air, ready to play the game herself. "Geronimo!"

He ducked, laughing, then took in a deep breath and submerged, swimming away as discreetly as possible.

She had aimed for the deeper water for the site of her dive, not wanting to get her head or upper limbs stuck in the sand. The waves from her landing rocked him and shoved him back toward shore.

He smirked, tumbling over in the water and coming up for air, then looked at her.

"Are you sure you never played in ze vater before?" he said, looking at her and smirking.
